Steve is known for his strong brush strokes, rich textures and vibrant colors. He brings a sense of joy and peace to each of his paintings and devotes himself to each work, to create a feeling of warmth and comfort. They echo the emotions and desire for a life lived to the fullest.

Painting is a way of life for Steve and he loves to spend spare moments combing areas for inspiration to use in future paintings. Though the subjects of his paintings vary, the casual elegance is consistent.

The relaxed sunny climate of Southern California where Steve now lives with his wife and son suits his taste and personality.  The coastal setting surrounding his home reflects his bright and lively perspective, and encourages a focus on color and beauty.

Each painting Steve does reveals something about him; he has a casual, engaging personality and is extremely enthusiastic about being a painter.

Originally, from New Hampshire, Steve’s success as an artist began early at the age of eight. His mother, an oil painter herself, inspired and encouraged him to paint.  After studying at Rhode Island School of Design, Steve broadened his search for subject matter by traveling to the West Coast, where his paintings became what we see today.

Each of Steve’s paintings capture more than just the viewers gaze, they are times remembered and days to come.  They stop time, soften your heart, and draw you in and say; “Come, sit, relax.”
