TIM COTTERILL
Born in Leicester, England in 1950. "On my
bicycle roaming the green English countryside in search of Frogs, slipping
into ponds and being dragged out by some observant adult" is how Tim
describes his wonderful childhood.
As a young adult, Cotterill was an engineering apprentice between 1965-1972.
Totally unfulfilled with factory life, but now armed with new metal working
skills, his creativity exploded. Sculptures flowed out the doors of his
dad's garage. His exotic steel, bronze, and gold bird sculptures are now
sought after, and are in collections worldwide.
Cotterill emigrated to the United States in 1990. These new high energy
surroundings brought out the fun in his art. Tim is now fully focused on
Frogs. His bronze sculptures capture the whimsical character, the jewel-like
quality and the pure joy of these beautiful little creatures.
