CAROLYNE HAWLEY

on a farm in the Illinois heartland. At an early age, she was drawing the
horses and landscape scenes she found around her and began what was to
become a lifelong love and education in art technique.
Hawley was studied with many fine artist. Initially self-taught, she notes
that the late Burt Proctor, one of the founders of the Laguna Art Pageant,
has been a major influence on her career. Variety comes easily to this
artist. Her subjects include everything from magnificent white horses to
figures to beautiful floral gardens. Hawley approaches her art with a strong
belief in an inner-spirit and a higher consciousness that seem to give her
paintings a transcendent quality.
She exhibits extensively throughout the Midwest and the West in galleries
and has paintings in many private as well as public collections. Singer
Faith Hill is a collector. She has won many awards as well as popular votes
of the public. Carolyne is a member of "Oil Painters of America" and is
currently being published by McGraw Graphics, New York and Leanin' Tree
