KATE HIDDLESTON

Kate Hiddleston was born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin in 1946 and raised in the bayou country of Southern Louisiana. Her art career began at an early age and she was successfully selling her paintings while still in high school.

She began sculpting in 1975 and has enjoyed a long and successful career as a bronze sculptor. She is a self-taught artist that continues her studies on a daily basis. Although proficient in many media and subject matter, Kate is best known for her beautiful portrayal of women. Her ability to convey softness, warmth, emotion and movement in her bronzes has her work sought after by collectors world wide. She has won numerous awards for her work, participated in major juried art shows and has been commissioned to create bronze Arabian horses for the King of Jordan and the Crown Prince of Dubai. She has memorial portrait busts, life-size sculpture for the Save the Wolf Society, life-size memorial sculpture for St. Charles Medical Center in Bend, Oregon and life-size mother and two children by the fountain at Kirkland Parkplace Mall in Washington.

In Addition to her bronzes, Kate enjoys interior design, creating one-of-a-kind dolls and writing poetry and children’s books.
