JIM SIEGRIST
Born in 1962, young Jimmy
Siegrist was always a dreamer, beginning to sketch at only 3-years-old, as
early as the first grade, he received a FIRST PLACE ribbon for his portrait
of the world famous golfer, Arnold Palmer.
Descending from a very distinguished Croatian family of artists living in
Yugoslavia prior to WWII, both of Jim’s Great-Grandfathers hand-carved
beautiful walking sticks and musical instruments “with their crafty tattered
hands”. Jim descends from a long line of artists and craftsmen originating
from Southern Slavonia in Croatia, his family covering the gamut from
artists to musicians, masons, wood-carvers, and basket weavers; many whose
art is displayed for sale in fine galleries throughout Croatia today! Little did Jim’s mother know as a child observing all this family talent,
that a son she was destined to bear would inherit all of her family’s
artistic talents, and then some.
It is
safe to say …… art's in his blood!
Jim is
definitely destined to become one of America’s greatest artists, exercising
his adept use of brush & palette-knife, either quickly executed or
painstakingly applied…whatever the uniqueness of a composition requires. As a very romantic painter of mostly breathtaking landscapes and quaint
European street-scenes of French and Italian sidewalk cafes; all who view
Jim’s expressions of beauty on canvas quickly drift right into the scene,
often “wishing they were there”. Great art never goes out of style, or
becomes obsolete…so a Jim Siegrist painting added to your collection will
certainly be cherished as it passes on from generation to generation.
Feel the romance in Jim’s
paintings as you gaze at the world’s largest selection of Siegrist’s
masterpieces on display today, and available to add to your distinguished
collection.
